Winter Bucket List
Winter brings with it some of the best activities to do both with friends, family, and by yourself. Add these to your winter bucket list for the best season yet!
Do the polar bear plunge
The polar bear plunge has its participants submerging their body into chilly water. Typically, this is done to raise money for a charity, but you could always do it for fun!
There are so many needy families who don’t have enough to provide presents for their families. Consider purchasing and donating toys to organizations such as Toys for Tots, who will give these toys to underprivileged families.
Build a snowman
Create your own Frosty the Snowman after a good snowfall.
Have a snowball fight
Gather a group of friends and get your throwing arm ready!
Make a snow angel
There are so many fun things you can do in the snow. Making a snow angel is a timeless classic!
Go ice skating
Whether you go skating on a frozen pond, lake, river, or go to a specialized ice rink, ice skating is a great way to have fun during the winter.
See “The Nutcracker”
The Nutcracker is a famous two-act ballet that is mainly put on during the holiday season. It’s based on the story “The Nutcracker and the King of Mice”, where a nutcracker leads his army of toy soldiers into a battle with mice.
Make a gingerbread house
Whether you bake it from scratch or get an already made kit, making a gingerbread house is a perfect way to not only let your creativity fly, but also gives you a snack as well!
Go on a sleigh ride
You don’t have to go to Grandma’s house, but a sleigh ride is a perfect way to get into the holiday mood. Grab some hot chocolate and a warm blanket to snuggle under to make the ride perfect.
Take a Christmas light tour
Pile into the family car, put on some Christmas music, and drive through your neighborhood looking at the light displays.
Bake and decorate cookies
Grab some family and friends and any new or traditional cookie recipes. Put on your favorite music or movies and spend the day baking up a storm.
Cozy under blankets and have a holiday movie marathon
Get your most comfortable blankets and your favorite holiday movies. Snuggle up on the couch with a hot chocolate, tea, or coffee and spend the day watching all your favorite scenes.
Take a bubble bath
Run the hot water, throw in a bath bomb or some bubble bath, and enjoy some respite from the cold weather outside.
Make a fire
Read a book (or magazine) and enjoy the crackling of the fire. Make sure your fireplace and chimney have been properly cleaned before your first fire of the season!
